In retrospect, one might say that The Chad Mitchell Trio was unlucky.  Through his business manager, a relatively unknown by the name of Bob Dylan, brought one of his first songs to them to record.  And the Chad Mitchell Trio was indeed the first group to record "Blowin' in the Wind" (and the first to sing it on national TV).

In 1986, after more than 20 years apart, The Chad Mitchell Trio made a surprise reunion appearance at a World Folk Music Association concert in Washington, DC.  To see Chad, Mike and Joe together was a joy.  To hear them was much more.  They brought the house down, the applause could have gone on forever.  A little older, a little more gray and maybe even a little heavier, but the blend and harmony was unmistakeable.

True to themselves and true to their fans, The Chad Mitchell Trio are themselves, folk legends.  To those who follow the Trio, they were the best then, are the best now, and will be the best always.

On November 15, 2014, The Chad Mitchell Trio performed their final concert of their 55 year career.  The concert was held in Bethesda, MD and was sponsored by the World Folk Music Association.
